Approval of the type of a new road vehicle, system, component or separate technical units

These inspections and/or tests are carried out for:

  1. European approval of the type of new road vehicles
  2. European approval of the type of new road vehicles produced in small series
  3. National approval of the type of road vehicles
  4. Individual approval of new road vehicles (categories M, N and O)
  5. Approval of the type of a new vehicle with regard to a system, component or separate technical unit
  6. Approval of the type of new systems, components or separate technical units

Inspections and tests are carried out on the basis of the following regulatory deeds applicable for the relevant vehicle category, component or separate technical unit described in:

  • Ordinance No 60/2009 of the MTITC on the approval of the type of new motor vehicles and their trailers;
  • Directive 2007/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 September 2007 establishing a framework for the approval of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles;
  • EU Regulation No 168/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 January 2013 on the approval and market surveillance of two-, three- and four-wheel vehicles;
  • EU Regulation No 3/2014 of 24 October 2013 supplementing Regulation (EU) No 168/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to the safety requirements for the operation of vehicles for the approval of two- , three- and four-wheel vehicles;
  • EU Regulation No 44/2014 of 21 November 2013 supplementing Regulation (EU) No 168/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to the construction of vehicles and the common requirements for the approval of two-, three- and four-wheel vehicles
  • EU Regulation No 134/2011 of 16 December 2013 supplementing Regulation (EU) No 168/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to the requirements for the environmental performance and drive characteristics and amending of Annex V thereto;
  • Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 901/2014 of 18 July 2014 implementing Regulation (EU) No 168/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to the administrative requirements for the approval and market surveillance of two- , three- and four-wheel vehicles
