Testing of doors, windows and shutters

By using the Universal stand for testing of resistance to burglary of building structures BRCP-2009 developed according to the standard requirements, the products are subjected to different loads in order to determine their resistance to burglary.

The tests include determination of mechanical strength against static and dynamic loads and manual attack by instrument according to standard methods specified in:

  • BDS EN 1628 ‘Pedestrian doorsets, windows, curtain walling, grilles and shutters – Resistance to burglary – Test method for the determination of resistance under static loading’;
  • BDS EN 1629 ‘Pedestrian doorsets, windows, curtain walling, grilles and shutters – Resistance to burglary – Test method for the determination of resistance under dynamic loading’;
  • BDS EN 1630 ‘Pedestrian doorsets, windows, curtain walling, grilles and shutters – Resistance to burglary – Test method for the determination of resistance to manual burglary attempts’;

The purpose is determination of resistance to burglary class according to the requirements of BDS EN 1627 ‘Pedestrian doorsets, windows, curtain walling, grilles and shutters – Resistance to burglary – Requirements and classification’.
