Assessment of products for personal protection against attacks

IMPORTANT for our customers!

At the end of 2016, changes in the schemes, procedures and rules for certification of the Product Certification Body (PCB) – the Assessment Division of TECHNOTEST JSC – were made.

The reason for the changes was the result of the analysis of the feedback received from concerned parties and the review of the functioning of the certification schemes.

The changes concern the order for implementation of the ‘A’ and ‘B’ certification schemes. The procedure for renewal of the certification was simplified. The terms and the order of the planned supervision were changed. The customer was granted the right to make and place marking stickers on the products. Adjustments were made to the price list of the services.

For more information, please refer to the current version of the ‘Client Procedure’ and the documents published on the web site, or contact us for further information using the published contact data.

Management of the PCB

For more than ten years TECHNOTEST JSC offers on the Bulgarian market services proving the level of security, safety and reliability of products for physical protection against attacks. By assessing their compliance with the requirements of standards and normative deeds, all concerned parties are provided with a guarantee of their level of protection.

Assessed products for physical protection against attacks cover two main groups:

  • Secure storage units: safes, ATM safes and bases, strongrooms and strongroom doors, deposit systems, and
  • Facade and interior elements of buildings: doors, windows, shutters/blinds, safety grilles and protective glazing.

TECHNOTEST applies different schemes and procedures for assessing the compliance of physical protection products. Each procedure has been developed depending on the products being assessed, the standards and normative acts applied, and the interests of the concerned parties. These parties may include, but are not limited to, manufacturers, consumers, state regulatory and supervisory bodies, insurers, other conformity assessment bodies and other members of the society.

TECHNOTEST aims to create prerequisites for the formation of consumer culture and public awareness of the requirements and criteria for evaluation of the products for physical protection by implementation of the existing standards and good practices for their application in the European Union.
